A teenage boy named Oliver is surprised to learn that to inherit his trust fund, he must complete a series of challenging and dangerous tasks set forth by his estranged father, who he has not seen in years. Oliver is resentful and angry at his father for abandoning him and his mother and is reluctant to do anything that might please him.
However, as Oliver begins to complete the tasks, he sees his father in a different light and realizes that the stipulations were put in place to bring him back into the family and teach him essential life skills. Oliver is forced to confront his feelings about his father and decide what he wants for his future.
As Oliver completes each task, he becomes more robust and confident and starts to see the value in the lessons his father is trying to teach him. Along the way, Oliver also meets a girl named Mila, who helps him to see things from a different perspective and encourages him to follow his heart.
As Oliver nears the end of the tasks, he must either continue down the path of anger and resentment or forgive his father and embrace the future he has always wanted.
